where Cat does a timed challenge to draw time pirates-- how poetic

It’s great to have friends who can support your hobbies and endeavours. I’m lucky enough to have friends who commission me from time to time, granting me a bit of extra coin when things get tight. This was one such commission, which doubled as a pricing experiment; if I work with a set hourly rate and maximum budget, how much can I get done in the given time? It was a good test, and although this ended up costing me a bit longer than accounted for– especially if you factor in the time spent discussing characters beforehand –I think it was still a worthwhile experience. Plus, I was able to help one of my friends give shape to these awesome characters! Win-win, if you ask me– although I’ll be upping my price a little next time so I’m left with more than a handful of euros after taxes. But hey, you live and you learn, right?
