"Time flies, but one day I will too." -Hephaestus
Hephaestus (H, for simplicity’s sake) is a character I’ve been doodling in sketchbooks for well over a year now. He’s a scientist named after a Greek god and an important secondary character in Rust & Revolutionaries. While he may not be very present in the narrative, he functions as the in-universe author of the first book; collecting data from various robot characters to piece together the story.
Since I’ve been drawing him for some time, I didn’t have a very specific character design process; I just centralized the parts of his character I’d been building up over time into one character sheet so that I could easily reference the shapes and colours. Below I’ve included a few other works that feature him :).
