Turning dreams into thumbnails~
This September I took part in Storytember2025 in the Playgrounds Discord server! The challenge was hosted bij the lovely Lima Jalala, who drew up a series of wizardy drawing prompts for us to use. I ended up largely using my own prompts to better fit my story, but I managed to make a few fit the original prompts too.
My personal goal for this challenge was to work on visualizing some of the backstories of my characters. A lot of them have pretty complex backstories that float around at the back of my head, but haven’t really been put on paper yet. Drawing some shots from them was a good start to figuring out more about them! There’s still plenty more to be pieced together, but one step at a time :).
Below I’ve included some quick sketches and thumbails, as well as the overview of all my entries in a slightly more compact format. I ended up doing fourteen drawings, as unfortunately I got sick a little over halfway through and wasn’t able to finish. Even so, it was a great experience and a lot of fun to see what everyone else in the Discord was making!
